ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Seat Belt Malfunction

Hey guys.. quick question. My CB7 has had seat belt malfunctions for the past year or so and for the past couple of months I have had no problem with the system beeping and flashing on the dash board. Since my seat belt does not slide on the track anymore I havent givin' it any thought. But recently in the past couple of days the system has been going haywire. The beepin and flashing on the dashboard will not stop. I have taken out the fuses for the seat belt system and that work for a while than the beeping came back. Is there anyway I can make it stop beeping and flashing till I get a newer selt belt track but in. PLEASE HELP... getting very annoyed

i'm in a very similar situation as you, i took my car to the dealership and said it could be one of two things; one, it could be the door lock actuator not reading the door is closed and, two it may be the seatbelt ECM unit. hope this helps ya out. also use the SEARCH function on here and you should be able to find out alot more info on the subject.

Just to let both of you know, Honda is supposed to have a lifetime warranty on seat belts, and there components.

It is a VERRY common problem for them to malfunction, that is why I got a dx...LOL

take it to the dealership, they should fix it for free.

someone correct me if I am wrong, but my best friend got her auto seatbelts fixed for free at the dealer in her 92 integra....

i could be wrong but i think there was a recall on the cb7's for seatbelt problems, is this the same reason why they called it back??

hoesntly i dont see why they are trying to get out of fixing it for you.. it's a safety issue so i dont see what's the big deal with them..
and i have proof that my co worker got it done free... he has papers to back it up...

they do have a lifetime warranty on the seatbelts themselves but the electronic components aren't under warranty because, eventually all electronics will die out, but i certainly did try to pull off the full warranty thing, but they did fix my window for free because, i told them not to roll it down, they did, and it broke, soooo BAM new window and regulator for free

I think if you go in, and sit down with someone in the office, and ell them what is going on, I think they will most likely warantee the seatbelt system for you.
