How can I tell???

At the risk of sounding like a moron, how can i tell the differnce between a F22a1, and F22a6. I only asked because the motor in my cb7 was replaced b4 I bought it

If you look on the engine about 12-14 inches back from the radiator on the passenger side there's a little plate that has it stamped on it.

To the left of the exhaust manifold heat shield, there will be a little square about 1" in size... if you can't see the stamp, clean it. It'll say.

If it just says F22A, it's a JDM engine, and probably the A6 equivalent.

You can also check the location of the o2 sensor... though that would only work if they used the exhaust manifold of the new engine.

If it's the same as the F22A6, then you'll just need an F22A6 ECU (pt6)
