ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    driver seat control unit

Just curious as to how the driver seat control unit for the power windows/mirrors comes off, i have either a loose connection in there, or one of the switches for a window is shot... and i would like it to work lol.
    Thanks

do yourself a favor and grab a cheapo ohm/volt meter from your local pepboys or wherever, and check out your switches b4 you tackle your window regulator, its a pain in the ass, and theres always the "what if" it wasent the window unit, and only a switch.... also (and im not calling you stupid) have you checked the fuse?

Well, here is my rule out for the fuse/regulator - The pass switch works fine, i can use that one to roll it up and down, So if thats the case, then the fuse should be fine, correct?

that dosent rule out the regulator, or the switch, only tells you that the fuse is ok on the pass side (im not sure if each side is a seprate circut) and that the pass side switch and regulator work... depending on if their seprite circuts, or not... if its a serise circut, then it might be a short...

phisicaly check the fues(s)... if ok then pull the door panel off and test the regulator... you can actully jump it with your car bat, if its good, then use a ohm meter to check the switch (in its closed position of course) your looking for a "OL" or "out of limits" reading.... this is good, it means actully that you regulator is bad, anything other then a OL reading... im going to say confidently that its the switch... also while your in there, check the connectors and wires... make sure theres no short to ground...
