ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Check Engine light on....then went off?

Okay, today when i was coming back from ASU, I was going on the freeway at around 70mph steady and all of a sudden the check engine light came on and stayed on until i parked and shut my car off. About 10 min. later when I was all finished with what I needed to do I got back in my car and drove home. But the light didn't come again and I even went back on the freeway and then got off but it still didn't come on. So what i'm wondering is, is this a sign of something going bad somewhere? My car didn't drive any different then normal when this came on so???? idk whats going on. It was at 4pm, the hottest part of the day if that has anything to do with it. I was going to get it scanned, but since its not on anymore will it still throw a flag saying something's wrong on a scanner? help please..

If you had a light and didn't reset the ECU, you should still be able to pull the code. I don't know about a a scanner, but you can do it the old fashioned way.

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

usually code 41 does that. usually nothing to worry about either. it's a ghost code of sorts.

well, not really. every time i've gotten it, nothing changed except the light popped on. once i just swapped ecus with one i had laying around and it never came back, another time i just reset the ecu and it never came back

well, a lot of times a light comes on if you dont put the gas cap on all the way after refilling. Maybe the light came on and off in between you filling up? Just throwing it out there.
