ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    ECU Verification

So the other day I looked at my ecu and the code read 37820-pt3-a23. So i was wondering if anyone can tell me if this is the right ecu for car (91 accord 4dr EX 5spd) because I'm concernned about my performance. Please notify me about this because I'm also looking forward to buying an ecu for a 93 accord ex code 37820-pt6-a52. Thanks

Dont buy an accord ecu buy a prelude one with an f22 just will get more power then the accord would give you.

Another ECU alone won't do much.

The PT3 ECU is the proper ECU for the F22A4 that is in your car. A PT6 is correct for the F22A6, which has a different intake manifold, exhaust manifold, and camshaft. Without those things, it won't really be an upgrade.

well i do have a few mods on my car. However, I swapped ecu's with my brother's accord 92 LX 5spd and my car felt stronger. That is why I figure if I use an ecu from the 93 ex, I will probably get a better gain than the lx and my original ecu. what you guys think.

The ECU from the 92 LX is the same as the ECU from the 91 EX.

You may see a gain, but not much. Not enough to feel. If you feel anything, it's in your head.

And yes, the F22A1 equipped Prelude has a P12 ECU that has a slightly more aggressive fuel map.

i guess you're right about the gain. maybe it was in my head but before I could never beat the 92 lx until we swapped ecu's thats why I believed that I had gain. So p12 will be better than the 93 ex and will also be noticable in any gains?
