ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I have a 1991 CB7 I just put in the 1995 F22b SOHC V-TEC. Need to know which ECU i need and can someone find or get me one. Or tell me were i can locate on. I have the stock ecu and a P06 out of a Del SOl.
please help me find this factory navigation unit

    you put a f22b1 engine in your 91 CB7?
umm... get the ECU for that motor or get the p06 chipped

The ECU for that motor would be a fantastic idea

Why did you choose the F22B1 anyway?

        dont make much sense...

take that out and slide in a F20B DOHC VTEC....F22B DOHC...H23A DOHC...H22A DOHC VTEC...H23A DOHC VTEC...F20A DOHC...any one of those should be a nice replacement!

        but the F22B1....NO..take that out!

that B1 has alot of bugs..especially with the coolant system! ( friend has a F22B1 and HATES it...currently looking into a H23A VTEC swap )

not to bag on that engine..with proper maintainence...Im sure it would last...but that engine is MAINLY and MORELY for MPG...( what that particular VTEC system is for ...that F22B1 ) NOT FOR PERFORMANCE.

so if you put that F22B1 in for performance...WRONG ENGINE!

        looking into another engine!

like Deeve ( Mike ) asked...

        why the F22B1 ????????????????????????

NOW, if you replaced your F22Ax ....then it should be used as stated...for a REPLACEMENT..but I would have went with another F22A instead of the SOHC VTEC B1... IMO

        just keep it maintained!

and you should've gotten that Harness for that engine..being its got VTEC...im sure thats a OBDII instead of ODBI ( I could be wrong on the OBD part )

you would have to rewire for the Vtec though!

This thread has nothing to do with his choice of motors, Kenny... just what ECU he should use. The motor is in. I'm sure he doesn't want to buy another one and take it out again!

A P06 is for a non-VTEC motor (though I believe it can be used... I've heard rumors of them being converted to P28s...) A P28 might be better, but regardless, you'll have to tune it. Just get the ECU for the F22B1 and it'll run fine.

People have to make things so damn difficult...

my bad... just giving him some insight ....and that F22B1 you and I both know Mike that...that engine is a NON-PERFORMANCE engine...ok yes, he may already have it installed..but he will be disappointed...just to find out..he should have stuck with what came in it ( F22Ax )

            am I correct?

Absolutely. I'd take what I flushed this morning over an F22B1... but, if he already has it, he might as well make due with what he has. Slap a turbo on it and it's not THAT bad

The P06 will work fine, although it does have to be chipped. I have one for the h22, the reason being is that they are cheaper and easier to find than a lot of other ecu's
