ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Transmission????

okay i know i asked this already but i can't colpe with this problem this guy is selling a h23a(usdm) were i live but he doesn't have a transmission for it. the guy is selling the h23a for about $100 i can get a f22a1 transmission for about $50 from pullapart(junkyard). i am not putting it into a cb i am dropping it in mt 3rd gen lude. my problem is??? would this be a big no-no. what would be the pro's and con's of this combo "h23a motor and f22a1" tranny and if this has been covered a million times can u show me the fourms were it's been covered.

my swap would be rare it's only been done less than 100 times but most of the swaps done are h22a1!!!

and if any of u guy's have 3rd gen lude's they are h series motor mounts for our car's

i am asking this question at this site not a prelude site beacuse i think u guy's know alot about the f22a1 and it's transmission.

It's been covered in the swaps forum. Many many times.

All H/F series motors and transmissions are interchangeable (aside from the S2000 stuff, which, obviously, is totally different). The gearing wouldn't be optimal, but it'll work. If you're planning turbo, it's actually a good idea. Longer gears are beneficial to turbo.

As for dropping it into a 3rd gen Prelude... you know that is going to be an insane amount of fabrication, right? I'm all for it, and I really want to see it when it's done... but you ARE aware that you're going to have a hell of a project on your hands, right?

Is there a mount kit? I've never seen one... though it'd be much easier if there is!

yes motor mount have been already made for 3rd gen's .azracing makes the mounts. they sold less than 100 mounts but they are still making them.

if i wanted to go turbo i would do a jdm f22b swap" that's just me"

H23 is almost as good for turbo... H22 is best for NA (though there are many arguments for the F22A... the head responds very well to modification)

I didn't know about the mounts... damn... now I want a 3rd gen Prelude! I saw an amazingly clean one at Honda Day last weekend... When they're in good shape, those cars are beautiful. Shame so many of them have been mistreated

if u wanna see 3rd gen ludes with h22a just say so. but it is no harder than dropping a h22a into a civic or teg. i don't know this about civic and teg's but the only prob is that u have no a/c or p/s. when u do this swap.

Dammit... I'm tempted! No room though... I already have 2 cars
I've got wheels that would fit, too!

Visit preludepower.com. That particular swap is a hot topic. There are several companies making the mounts. The bigger problem is the necessary wiring changes. You will find that there is VERY little aftermarket support for 3rd gen Preludes...never really was much. Nice little car though.

What do you mean by "help them" ?
Also why did you bump a 3 year old thread just to say this?
