ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Need some help please

    Hi everyone!
I'm planning on buying a USDM H22A4 engine
along with it's auto tranny for a great price.

So my plan for now is that I'm going to reuse my F22A manual
tranny on this already auto trannied engine swap.

How difficult would this be? Will it cost more than I think it will cause money
    is a problem.
What are some of the things that I should consider to make this my
first successful swap? or is this not really a good idea consider that I will
have to deal with ATTS? (This is where I'm confused)
I live in an area where e-testing is required so this is why I'm going with
the USDM H22A4 but with a 5 speed tranny.

    Any feedback is greatly appriciated.

    Thanks in advance.

The motor will bolt right up to the tranny. but i thing the H22A4 are OBD 2 so if u have a cb7 u might have to do the OBD 1 to OBD 2 conversion if i remember correctly.

along with the OBD1 to 2 swap as already said, you'll also have to get the ECU for a 5 speed H22A4 as the one used for the auto tranny is different. also, i suggest changing the timing belt and doing a complete tune-up while the engine is out of the car because this is SO much easier to do while the compared to when its in the car.

EDIT: you should check out the Swaps section and read through the stickies as there is already a sticky with this stuff in it.
