ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Installation Question...

I just got my exhaust in the mail and I am wondering if there is any cutting involved in removing the original exhaust system. Does it just unbolt like the one I got to install does?

I imagine I will need some PB blaster or Kroil and some antisieze for installation. How long should I expect to take installing the system including removal of the old one?

you shouldnt have to cut unless someone welded it on.

it depends on what tools you have access to, do you have a lift, ramp, or jackstands and what kinda mechanical experience you have, but it shouldnt take too long just take you time and make sure all bolts are tightened down and everything is secure cuz you dont want to drop your exhaust going down the road.

if it's not bolt-on you have to weld it.
if it's bolt-on , you just need A PB blaster and a socket

You shouldn't have to cut a thing, just count on busting bolts cause it's gonna happen. Be sure you spray and soak the nuts and bolts at least a couple of hours before you try removing them cause it's gonna be a b!tch. Oh yea, I hope that kit came with new nuts and bolts too. Also while you're down there check out your O2 sensor and the connector, make sure all is good on that end too.

Removal and installation went smooth. Took about 2.5 hours and that is including the time to get another rubber hangar. I hope the trans swap goes this smooth.

yeah, breaking the nuts loose was a task in itself....bloodied myself at least two times.

I just need to look into "moving" my heat shielding a bit. I get a rattle at low rpm's from the engine overcoming the engine mounts....I need to fix that before I get a rub-thru.
