Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Ok, so I've got a little civic hatch (93 cx) with a B18c1 swap, and i'm planning to make it faster and want to get some advice from anyone who has some good ideas.

    It's pretty quick when it's running right, although right now it does a bit of sitting cuz funds are tight, which will be changing soon.

    I've already got a bunch of these parts, but the setup I'm gonna go with as of now is

    Already has I/H/E (VERY loud E, a couple people on the forums here know it)
    Skunk2 Stage 2 Cams
    Adjustable cam gears (I wanna do somethin different, advancing the exhaust and retarding intake because I heard some horror stories about valve to valve clearances)
    Skunk2 valvetrain setup (retainers, springs, etc)
    Wiseco high compression pistons (somewhere between 11.8 and 12.25)
    I'm going to resleeve the block with reinforced sleeves to handle the higher compression,
    Crower or Eagle rods, arms

    I've had a few thoughts about other stuff, and wanna know what u guys think about nitrous, the possibility of a stroker kit, itb's, etc? I'd appreciate any insight into how well nitrous or a stroker would go with the other work, because I have most of the other parts waiting for install, and am currently driving the car as a mostly stock GSR hatch, which does pretty well against the other cars around town :-D but I've gotta keep up with my brother's talon, and my friend's wrx, both on turbo upgrades

    go itb's since its all motor. upgrade tranny, and build up the block more. that should keep u up with the talon and wrx on the long runs, if that. if ya done a jdm k20 then thats a different story!

      CTR plenum, B16 Gear box (top end speed will be sacrificed), ITB would gain you some power, and yea thats about it.

        As far as the tranny is concerned, what kind of upgrades would I be looking at needing to do? I realize with the shorter gears in a b16 tranny my top speed will suffer, but then again, I never get this car up at top speed anyway, because it's kind of terrifying to drive a civic hatch at high speeds, lol, but I like the short gears for the acceleration.

        Would i need to do anything as far as reinforcing the gears or anything, because with my friend's wrx, he ripped all the teeth off third gear (for the second time) because he's putting about 315 to the wheels with a stock wrx tranny lol
