ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

thanks deevergote.....now that was some very helpful info....this is the beginner section so I asked a beginner question
deevergote...you are saying that on a stock F22.....with NO upgrades whatsoever it will hold 8 to 10 psi....great!~

Very true. Don't EVER assume anything is going to last with turbo... If you cut corners (boosting a stock block, using used parts, tuning on the street instead of the dyno) you greatly increase your chances of blowing something up.
The initial health of your motor is important as well. Do a compression test, make sure there are no leaks. Check for any sort of smoke from the tailpipe at idle, partial throttle, and full throttle. Smoke, leaks, or poor compression are signs that your motor won't last. A problem that would possibly permit the motor to run another 30,000 miles in stock form could mean death in 1000 miles with turbo.
To be quite honest with you, my answer is the WORST one here. It's just the only one telling you what you want to hear. The other answers are more accurate.

it all depends largely on the parts you use.
my buddy boosted his cb and to be honest, its just slow as dirt.
he used the tdo5h turbo and log manifold from a dsm eclipse and its just not fast. i think its the exhaust manifold to be honest, i mean, it just flows like dog shit.
do yourself a favor, and do alot of research before you spend anything on a boost setup. know what your getting into, ya know?"This truck is 100% sh*ts and giggles."

i think he got it from you? 90_accord_22657
i think it was just that log manifold, and plus, we always ran it with a crappy stock suspension and old nasty tires. with a better suspension to hook it up, and tires to put it down, i think it would have been much faster."This truck is 100% sh*ts and giggles."

either way, his car is just slow as dirt. we both built it, so we are both responsible. im sure it was builder error.

best advice in the thread.
we even had a good understanding of what we were doing and the project still fell on its face."This truck is 100% sh*ts and giggles."
