ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Not shifting!

Hey guys. I got a problem and i need some opinions! Ok Last SaturdAY I took the Noisey Cricket (thats my 93 accord lx name long story) out to the local meet up area. Drove it around for about an hour no problems. I raced an Acura Integra ( beet him!), a 96 mustang (beet him) and then a little civic hatchback. The first run on the civic i took him. When we lined up to run back. I launched and ran it up and when i went to shift in 2nd the shifter went loose. The car wont shift into any gears!! Nothing. Ended up reaching under and pushing it into 2nd and drove home. Sunday i take a look and the tranny mount came out!. Not broke just the bolt came out. Also the the shift cable closest to firewall had come apart. The cotter pin and bushing came off. We replaced the mount and re attachjed the linkage but the cars stil not hitting gear. I tightend it up by the shifter and nothing. I took a look at my friends cb7 and i notice that the arm thing sticking out of the tranny that the shify cable hooks up to moves alot before going in gear. His moves just a little before going in gears. Mine moves alot almost hitting the wheel well. It still wont shift from in the car. It feels like it hits 1 3 or 5 but grinds when i let off the clustch to engage, but i have to drop it to lets say 4 to go in neutral. The car starts from the clutch and the pedal is normal. My friend thinks its the shift linkage. I was thinking maybe tranny? But by hand i can sink it into some gears. 1 and 2 for sure. What u think before i call cothorns or ammco and get raped!
