Hmm, might be good getting one off an f22a4 engine. Or you could get bismoto or bishmoto, something like that?. anywho, what engine do you have?

for 50 states legal and cheap a chikara header will do what it does. expect a lil bit more than tha h23/f22a4 header. around 6-9 hp at the crank

around 6-9 compared to the exhaust manifold, but they're about the same as the a4 too.

i've tested all but one or two headers under the $400 range on an f22a1 and the a4 header was as good as any.

WTF is Bishmoto?


Bisimoto, the company created and run by 'Bisi Ezerioha, will be releasing what will be the best header for the F22A. Priced reasonably around $600, it will be affordable enough, considering the performance. 'Bisi races with an F22, so the parts are made for his own purposes first, and then all the research and development time is passed down to us Many of the other companies probably never even ran an F22 with their header installed. They use generic bends, based on generic exhaust flow algorithms, and they make a header that "works". The other brands will make some power over the stock stuff, but they won't come close to the Bisimoto pieces.

For SMseagren83, my budget is no more than like $220. I know its not much but be easy on me. I'm a college student and times is ruff. I seen Meagan Racing 4-2-1 Headers on andys auto sport for like $140, but I don't know if I should get them.

For ex_style90, to be completely honest, I don't know rather its a f22a1 or an f22a4. It's a shame ain't it???

F22A4 is the 90-91 EX motor, and the only F22A that came with a tubular header. Pretty much all the headers out there under $500 will make about the same power as the F22A4 header... they just look better. If you want power, spend the money. If you want looks, go cheap. If you don't have a lot of money and want some performance, just get (or keep) the F22A4 header. If the others are better, it's by 1-2 hp, if that.

I purchased a DC sports 4-2-1 '2piece' header. it comes with the header and catalytic converter in a huge box. if you go to the aem site its gonna be like 335.00 but you can search for it on ebay and might get a 175 + 50$ship liquidation deal like i did. i like low price but high quality brand name reliability

o i have a 90 lx f22a1 as well

I've never known them to come with catalytic converters... flex pipes, but not cats. Was that a bundle the seller put together?

DC Sports is nice, looks good... but the power created isn't significantly better than any cheaper aftermarket piece. The F22A4 header is probably very similar in terms of power production. Still, DC makes some nice looking headers
