ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    EK not braking

alright i just got done doing a rear disk brake conversion on my friend's 96 civic hatchback dx...we used the disks brakes from an integra...everything is installed with new pads for the rear and front rotors, new front rotors...the ebrake cable has not been install yet since my friend had to order a civic SI ebrake cable cuz the ebrake cable that came with the istalled integra rear disk brakes are too short...the entire brake system has been bled about 3 times already and there is fuild in the system, but the problem is that the brake pedal still goes all the way to the floor and the car brakes very poorly...the car is stopping like it has no brakes at all...I Need Serious Help...thanks

Did the master cyc go empty during your swap? if so then you have more bleeding to do.

You might wanna recheck the system for possible leak somewhere.

If the pedal is going to the floor, the system doesn't have the proper pressure. Definitely bleed it some more. Is the master cylinder new?

how are you bleeding it? is the MC any good? advanced auto parts has those convinient one man speed bleeders.you only bleed once all the way around. Gets all the air/bubbbles out. saves major headaches.

man nothing worked...we bought the one man bleeder...we even bought the brake bleeder system which costed over $100...a new brake booster....a new master cylinder....nothing worked at all...the brake pedal still goes all the way to the floor... the are no leaks, the fuild levels are still full...so im scratching my head on what could be the problem....

You always bleed the brakes starting from the furthest away from the Master Cylinder. Theres a pattern you need to follow for fwd vehicles.

well for one are u puttin the bleeder valve on the caliper on before you put the brake fluid in. that can keep air pockets in ur brake system. Also there is a allen key bleeder valve under the master cylinder, make sure its not leaking from there. if its falling to the floor, u have an air bubble somewhere or a leak somewhere. check the MC and see if it stays full

make sure u bleed from the caliper also because it can be a bubble there
