ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

milling the head will give a higher compression. I believe forced induction doesn't like a higher compression, especially when boostin. I would suggest get only a port and polish.

get the P&P and have them make trim the head to make sure its a perfectly straight, also if you can have the same done to the block.

Depends on how much you take off...And higher compression with turbo motors make pretty good power. IT depends on the tune mainly for higher compression. With E85 now its easier to work with. Anyways you wont be goin that much higher depending on how much you mill the head. H23A1 stock is like 9:1 compression or something like that. Its not that bad.

Turbo likes high compression. High compression just leaves less room for error.

I've been told by a knowledgeable guy that porting the head can weaken it, and that just a polish will do well. I have nothing to back this up, other than the fact that this guy knows a good deal (he's Accord SiR's friend). Might be something to ask.

Honestly, ask the shop. If it's what they do, they should be able to give you some guidance on what would be best. If they don't know enough to guide you, perhaps they don't know enough to do a good job on your head!

WEll, the NAPA over here has a region shop in like alpharetta and they do manchine work like p&P and i have herd great things from other guys about their work. Now i was just hoping that i didnt have to ask them, becuase most likely they wont know anything about Turbo's and they wont be as much help as you guys (most peps in GA at turbo retarded) as far as shops go...... like so i should only polish the head and should i do anything with the intake mani?
