ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Odd clicking near slave after replacing...

I changed my leaking master and slave and about a day after, it has an odd noise.

I can feel it in the pedal when i push it down, its almost like a metal on metal sort of creek/click/pop. It doesn't affect the function(IE, still works just fine), but it just seems odd. It happens about half way down to the floor. I also replaced the rear mount so I'm thinking maybe its just causing the fork(?) thing that the slave pushes to be at a new angle and it just isn't used to hinging that way?

    any ideas?

Here's the thing i mean. It sounds like its coming from the fork thing to the left of the slave's boot. My guess is its from where that fork meets the block, which is out of sight here, but its under another boot thing.

    PM me for the following...

You feel it halfway letting off or when your pushing down. You dont need to "grease" the ball it sits in a socket in the fork.

It only happens when pushing down.

        Its definately a creaking sound.

I'm pretty sure at this point that its coming from whatever is on the other end of the fork.(opposite the slave side)

If I am shifting while driving, its barely noticable because the engine/road noise drown it out and I'm faster on the clutch. However, when I'm putting it into first or R, i can hear it loud and clear.

oh yeah, Man, my accord does the same thing. i bought it that way, it does sound kinda stange. I tried to fix it but could not, then gave up and drove it. it went for 20thou' miles, then my girlfrend fried my clutch (3 day after i put brand new $450 struts and springs on). So the shop said it had nothing to with the clutch failing. So with a brand new clutch, it still does it, and 3000k later, i dont worry about it, but it is kinda annoying
