ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    14" rims with brake conversion?

    simple rotor-over-hub conversion:
OEM Acura 98-99 2.3 CL front hubs
    rotors for 98-99 2.3 CL
    pads - any options
Optional 94-97 Accord front wheel bearings

Single-piston brake upgrade with rotor-over-hub conversion:
OEM Acura 98-99 2.3 CL front hubs
OEM Honda front calipers from 95-02 Accord V6/wagon, 93+ Prelude VTEC, or 98+ ITR
    OEM Honda 23T brackets
rotors for 98-99 Acura 3.0 CL or 93-96 Prelude VTEC
    pads - any options
Optional 94-97 Accord front wheel bearings

I'm thinking about doing one or the other. Looking to do the single piston brake upgrade with ROH conversion... my question:

which option will a 14" fit with? 1, both, none? would they fit 15" ?

I have the Prelude VTEC rotors & calipers, and 2.3CL hubs. The caliper barely clears the inside of my 95 EXR Accord (15") rim. When I have my JDM ITR wheels on, I have to use 2mm wheels spacers so that the caliper clears the rim.

I can no longer use any 14" rims on my car.

My CB7 is now ***FOR SALE***

Quick question for you guys. Has anyone ever thought of using (or actually used) crowsfoot wrenches to undo the bearing/hub from the knuckle instead of unbolding the LCA and pulling the axle?

You can get sockets on there without unbolting the LCA and removing the axle?

one way or another you'll find out you have to take off the axle. its not that hard man.

I know it's not hard, it's just an inconvenience. My rotors are warped and I don't have money right now for CL hub and I'm not doing my brakes unless I do the ROH swap.

                        2mm spacers?! why?!

BuckChoklit, its possible to get them reground w/o taking the rotors off. Look around for that option for now.

Quick question guys. When you do the 2.3cl hub swap do you mean changing the whole spindle, or just pressing out the old accord hub and pressing in the new one that makes it rotor over hub? can this work?

the only thing you have to press out are the bearings... you have to (should) replace the bearings, get the CL hub kit, then just take the knuckle apart, pull out accord parts that are able to be replaced with the kit. done... thats what i'm assuming anyway
