ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Exhaust Leak

i put headers/downpipe and full 2 1/4 exhaust on my cb7 about 5 months ago and about a month into it i got an exhaust leak and i cant find a leak nowhere in my exhaust. the noise is comin out from the front driverside finder. i havent taken it to the muffler shop yet cause i like doin everything my self and that is my last resort. i have been under my car countless times and i was wonderin if it could be something that i am missin. there was a spot that leaked when i first did my exhaust cause there was 2 holes for O2 sensors but i fixed that. im dumbfounded!!!

    maybe by gasket?
those aftermarket gasket can get shrunk after awhile..

thats what mine did, put new and bigger gasket to seal it and no more leak..
    try muffler shop...

i pulled all my exhaust off and redid all gaskets plus gasket sealer and didnt change a thing. i guess i will have to make a visit to the muffler shop this weekend. oh yeah.... is it possible that my intake manifold sprung a leak and it just sounds like and exhaust leak?

DO this while your down there and be careful. Run your hand around the pipe. You should feel air escaping thats how I found mine. Then another safe method is get you some water in a spray can and spray around the exhaust while listening to a change in exhaust pitch. That will also point out your leak.

if they r like mine, they have a o2 sensor bolt towards the top that you should have a bolt in plugging it up, and the o2 sensor ran down by the cat.

make sure that bolt up top is tight.

You're not JDM until you have a car built in ohio with tons of bolt ons from ebay.

Depending on the motor he has (a1,a6) check Whichever bolt you have plugged up. Whether its the top or bottom one.

the sound comes from the front driverside. ive used my hands to feel, the hole on the down pipe is pluged and if it was my flex pipe..... wouldnt the noise be comin from under the car? and at my muffler...... it doesnt feel like im losin any back pressure. i can stand behind my car and it sounds normal. i only hear it when im drivin down the road or standin by the driverside. its crazy!
