ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    b4 a swap

    i've tried reading all the stickies on this subject but can't find the answer. i'm thinkin of doing a swap in the future sometime, like by next summer. should i even do anything like a cold air intake? someone told me if i did it would have to be able to convert to whatever engine i replace it with. are there any that can or should i just save up and wait? b/c all the ones i've found just give the model they're desigened for and if i have to sit and wait what can i do til i complete a swap? thanks

    You can still get a SRI for your current setup that will fit onto an h22, assuming thats the swap you are doing. I wouldnt buy a header because the spacing is different but you can also get a catback exhaust that will be able to fit onto the downpipe once you do the swap

      Get a 3" intake for your car, and it'll be fine for an H22 swap (again, assuming that's your plan). You'll lose a little low end on the F22, but it won't be terrible. If you get an exhaust on your car, go 2.5" instead of 2.25". It'll be optimal for the H22 as well (with the same low-end sacrifice as the intake).

      A header won't fit. Neither would upgraded sparkplug wires (not really needed unless yours are bad anyway).

          SRI= Short Ram Intake

          that's what most people have because it's cheap and you have less of a chance of hydrolocking your engine when driving through rain/puddles.
