Tranny problems!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought a Honda Accord 1993 10th anniversary edition automatic, like 3 weeks ago, but about a week ago the tranny broke down i got this blinking on D4 even when i shift to reverse or park it won't stop blinking and sometimes when i leave the house it takes time to shift gears, it does reverse and everything else. i went to a transmitions place and they told me that the tranny was gone. a rebuilt tranny would cost me around $1300 one year warranty, a friend told that he could get me a used one for $600 but i would have to do the labor... money is kind of tight right now but i could get the $1300 for a rebuilt one, but thinking carefully how much a whole engine would cost me if i were to do a swap, i don't know what to do.

any suggestions?????????????

if money's tight don't do an engine swap - take care of the tranny
and if u are going to fix the tranny either do labor yourself or get the cheapest mechanic and you might consider changing it to manual since you know your going to do it down the line anyway!

well, it is a good idea but i guess it would involve a few mods and i wouldn't know how do do it.

Well since u say money is tight right now..just take care of the tranny and roll like that till u save up for a swap..=]
