ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

That is way too expensive for that many miles. Put the $300 into your A4 and it will be better than the A6.

you think so !!! what could be done to my a4 for 300$ port and polish??

because my a4 as an oil leak or oil burn issue i'm thinking about a couple gaskets and also pistons and rings

if there is an JDM importer near you, you can get an JDM F22A (it the same as F22A6) with around 30k-45k japan miles on it for around $300 with no tranny. if you are looking for a reliable engine with low millage. or save up for an JDM H22A block around $800-$900 and you can still use your F22A4 tranny if you are low on money.

you could simply get the ecu from a cb7 with the f22a6 and then that intake manifold and keep your f22a4 OEM header (the only cb7 motor with a header was the f22a4) and you'd have spent nothing, spent only a couple of hours on it and you'd be making f22a6 power.

What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

i 2nd the manifold and camshafts, but i think if your going to change your manifold u might as well put the h23 IM on, its very easy and there are very noticeable gains even in automatics. i have a a6 manifold sitting in my storage closet in my garage that will never see the light of day again. i have a6 header but its got a hole in it so i dunno if you would want that. dont do a whole motor without at least upgrading it, thats kidna pointless, especially over some gaskets and maintenance issues. if your internals are messed up just replace them with performance parts. you cant go wrong

I sold an F22A1 with 136k on it for $350. It was in good shape, though, and I knew that for a fact. I also sold an F22A1 with 166k on it, tranny included, for $50.

Depending on where you are, and what the availability of motors are locally, $300 isn't terrible. (don't forget, this is ALL probably Canadian... so the mileage and $$$ are in reality less than the American members are thinking)

I agree, but do upgrade to the h23 manifold.
