ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    hot engine!!!!

Ok, so i recently replaced all of the intake manifold gaskets, and the car ran fine for about a week....now last night it leaked uber antifreeze everywhere. so today i filled it up and had to get to work (first day) couldn't call out. Well i get down the road and my engine is way past HOT so i pull over at a gas station, i figure I'm out of coolant, pop the hood.....i still have full coolant, but it leaks....and i have no idea where to check, i checked all the nuts on the manifold, and the hoses are all hooked up.......I'm stumped.....help!!

go to auto zone and get pressure tester you will hardly ever see a leak of coolant unless pressure.

when i had my blue DX, my radiator developed a small crack on the underside. hardly noticable unless i was parked for a long time after letting the engine heat up although i could smell the sweet scent of coolant anytime in the car.

you could always check your hoses, like on my truck it had a leak because the clamps just sucked. it was some sucky factory clamps that required you to squeeze the two ends together, so i replaced them with those O clamps where you turn the screw to tighten them.

oh i didn't like smelling it either but that's how i can tell if i have a leak or not by smelling the air.

That big hard line on the back of the block. The O-ring is uses. When you remove the IM (to change the gaskets) you have to undo that hard line. And getting it back in correctly is difficult. It takes most people a couple tries to get it right, and that o-ring may need to be replaced.

What size would that be? and would i have to drill out the hole in the manifold?

Edit: I changed the thermostat.....its the intake manifold
