ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Instrument Cluster Problems

A few days ago I decided to take my cluster out to change some bulbs that weren't working and ended up taking the whole thing apart just to check it out. Bad idea. My fuel and temperature gauges quit working. The temperature doesn't move anywhere, and my fuel raises as I burn gas, without putting more in. It won't drop when I put gas in it. I couldn't figure anything out so I bought another cluster, but the temperature gauge still isn't working right, only this time it jumps up past the H when the engine is cold. I'm not sure about my fuel, it's hard on full, but my tank is full. Everything else works fine.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

I noticed there are 4 dials on the top of the circuit board, which from previous electronics experience are used for adjusting resistance in a circuit. I'm assuming there is one for each of the 4 gauges, but I don't want to mess around with them until I know what they are. I'm thinking maybe they can be adjusted to fix my problem but I don't know if that is possible or not.

If nobody knows what those dials are for, does anyone know where to find schematics for the circuit board in this cluster?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

If you messed around or took off the needles you most likely messed them up and they dont work. You need a new cluster its not "fixable"

I didn't take the needles off, just took the gauges out of the cluster. I've tried swapping the fuel/coolant gauges between clusters with no luck. One set stays at the bottom and the others jump to the top about a minute after starting the car. The second cluster is from a 92 US Accord, whereas my car is a 91 CDN Accord. I assume they should be interchangeable but maybe I'm wrong and that's what is causing the problem.

I over tightened the screws on my original cluster, but I was careful not to on the new ones. I'll have to check those letters to see if they match, maybe thats the problem. Thanks
