retrofitting to r134a is the best, they say that you would have to convert the receiver/dryer to r134a thats not true, they're just tryina make money, all i did to mine was i put the r134a retrofit fitting on top of my r12 valve and charge it with r134a and it works fine....dont worry about mixing r12 and r134a cause they always get mixed up and it wont do any harm to ur system but u gotta make sure to you add PAG oil in ur system too. when i did my AC all i had to do was go to my school and charge my AC for free cause i'm taking automotive classes

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Just Got Mine Right
Boy.......she Blows Like A 2009 Brand New Bmw, I Mean I Have To Turn It Down Which Sounds Crazy I Know As Hot As It Has Been The Last Few Weeks
I 've Had My Car 10 Years Now And 9 Out Of Ten Yrs Had No A/c.....took Some Getting Use To........just Like U Got Charge After Charge.....but What I've Found Is That Its Not Where U Go Its Who's Doing The Job There Is Where The Quality Comes In Or Falls Short..........the Way These Cars Are Made Is If There Is No Freon The Compressor Won't Engage.to Preserve The Compressor......to Be Done Right The Whole System Needs Tobe Torn Down......and All Seals Need To Be Replaced........change To 134 And Fitting If U Hadn't Yet......closely Examin Alluminum Hose....FROM Fitting All The Way Down TO The Copressor And The Other Fitting Way To The Far Right Behind The Head Light.......after Doing This Or Finding The Right Person To Do It For U........there Will BE No Where Else To Look But The Compressor....to Check That Is Very Simple But U Must Have Some Freon In There For It To Come On....when The Compressor Comes On Everything Electrical In The Car Reacts To It So You Will Know Its Working Or Not......alittle Lengthly But Hope It Helps Anyone Needing ItLast edited by ceebee9; 06-13-2007, 07:16 PM.
