ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

I have an f22b1 motor and I just got the fuel pressure regulator and I want to know how do I hook it up properly to my engine. can anyone help

Where the old fpr went. Be sure to relieve pressure in the fuel system before pulling off fuel lines.

well that depends on what engine you have and what mods you have done to it. throwing on a FPR on a stock engine, is almost pointless.

on a F22a1/a6 engine the fuel pressure should be between 28-35psi @idle
** thats with the vacuum line hooked up to the intake manifold**

        thats within spec

do you have a fuel pressure gauge to monitor your adjustments??? i hope so..adjusting the FPR without any kinda of gauge is risky.
        F22a1-->F22A-->H22A-->auto-2-5spd-->K20 6spd-->F22C 6spd RWD-->4G63 6spd AWD-->K24 6spd????

i just kind of told you how to.

            1) how do you know its not getting the right fuel pressure?? have you hooked up a pressure gauge and tested the system and/or FPR???

            2) what kind of work is done to the F22B1??

            3) as said above you need to take ur old FPR off and replace with the new then adjust to the prefered psi. your fuel pressure should still be between 28-35psi and idle and with the vacuum line attatched.

            4) have u tried using ur old F22a4 FPR??

so adjust the new FPR while watching the pressure gauge until u get the desired psi for your setup. then have a day!

not much more i can say......

simple as this...just refer to your manual book...it'd be easier for ya..plus if you're not recieving the right pressure...check your fuel filter too while you're at it.

remember Manual Book helps for ID.

you need to adjust the FPR then. there should be an adusting lock nut on it of some sort.

you did look at the gauge after you turned the key to the II position to let fuel be pumped to the fuel rail.......didnt you? just making sure.
