F22a1 How much can this motor take???

Hi guys, I just bought my 1992 accord DX witht the stock f22a1 motor with 109,433 miles on it. I got the car from the first owner and the car still has all factory honda parts on it. I want to use the car as a daily driver but also take it out on the track for littel 8th of a mile drags every once in a while. The car is completely stock and pretty quick! I havent red lined the engine or any thing just took it up to about 5,800 RPM at the most. Im just wondering how much this motor can actualy take because I dont want to blow this motor. I used to race with a hyundai and I didnt blow the engine but I sure did mess some valves up and blew the head gasket, lol. Just need some specs on the f22a1, Horse power, Tourqe and Max Red Line would be nice. Thanks!

125 horsepower and 137 foot pounds of torque I believe. I know that much.

thanks, so do you know the limits of this engine??? is it considerd strong?? I know its not V-tec or any thing but its a 2.2L I also think these motors should have been DOHC instead of SOHC!

oh the motor is well maintained! Just did oil change and every thing

these engines have been engineered by honda, which means- quality. knowingly, look around some of the members rides when you have the chance, some guys have boosted their f22's up to 10 psi and it runs fine, and had it like that for years. it all depends on how well you maintain it. does this help?

the motor is strong mine has 322000 and i redline it in races and have no problems soo enjoy

wow man 322k ...i had about only 212k and then i messed up the engine and replaced it with one that has 65k

lol wow over 300,000 miles??? well I guess the motor is strong. Hmmm well First im trying to work on my springs set up , but for the motor I want to do bolt on's like headers,intake, ect... any tips or hints ??? Thanks

i overreved mines to 7000k on stock f22a auto. no wonder you could hear my cam badass.

ohh you mean miles? idk past 300k with good maintance. and if you dont beat it.

My f22a1 is all stock and i use it EVRYDAY to go to school and i always mantain it well ive had this car for 17 years. It was the best motor in its class and best car (1990) once in a while i push it but thats like 3 times every year :P

i have my car for over a decade now i started using it to commute at least 100 miles a day. i just do the regular maintenance and everything still works fine for me.
