ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    no spark, won't start :(

Hello, I was driving my car the other day (92 lx) and I was just going to back into a parking spot and as I put it in reverse I thought I stalled. When I went to start the car again it wouldn't start.

First I thought it was a dead battery as it didn't make any weird noises and it turned over just fine. I got a jump and nothing, so I had it towed to a mechanic and he said he figured it was the distributer. He swapped in a new one and nothing

Edit: He said he just tried the distributor and coil.

    Is my ecu dead?

Could this be my main-relay? Can someone direct me to where that is located?

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Dave

did he replace the whole distributor or just the coil in it,

it might be your igniter, and also check all your fuses, there is on the driverside kickpanel that i blew out and also had no spark, so try that

          Okay, thanks fellas

I believe he replaced the entire distributor.

The car is on it's way to my place, so as soon as I get it I will check the fuses.

I looked up "ignition relay" in my service manual and can't seem to find anything. Do you have any images of this? Or could you tell me what to look for?

it should be in your fuse box under the hood. if it doesnt click when you hit the run position on the key (not starting it) then the relay went. switch the relays and see if it starts.

10-4, I opened up the fuse box and your right the ECU fuse (red, 10A) is toast.

(I'm wondering why this would happen, seems odd)

Where might I purchase a replacement fuse, do I have to go to Honda?

Thanks for leading me in the right direction, you've saved me a huge headache!

                i do believe a 10amp blade fuse is a 10amp blade fuse.

any will do from your local auto parts... no honda "fuse" needed ;-)

                  Great!!!

For the time being I took the fuse out of the running lights and it starts like a champ!

Thanks everyone for the help, I really appreciate it.
