E85
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ok so ive been flamed on about the e85 stuff a few times so im going to explain myself with info. one you dont have to use 40% to 50% more fuel.
its more like 20% more fuel for the same power ill post some sites that go into depth {edit insert 5/11 with further research i found that you get 5% to 10% more power do to the 105 octane rating no worry's about high compression but burnt valves and pistons bad }
http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/byfuel/FFV2000.shtml
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E85 (about how much more fuel youll lose but thats with a non chipped ecu)
http://e85vehicles.com/converting-e85.htm (the ghetto way to switch to e85)
http://auto.howstuffworks.com/how-e...-fuel-works.htm (heres a site about the pro and cons and dont get me wrong theres lots of cons LOL)
another site that bags on e85 the reason im showing both sides of the coin to inform you better so you can make your own mind up http://www.energyrefuge.com/archive...reduces_mpg.htm
says how much fuel economic reducing e85
but these sites that show the lower score for mpg is with engines not mod'd to get better fuel economy like the ford sport
http://www.greencarcongress.com/200...y_us_consu.html and the last thats against it http://hybrid.autobytel.com/content...cle_id_int/1478
the reason im posting more against it so people wont post 20 sites saying how im wrong im well aware but the switching to natural gas or propane is probably more cost effective but N-gas is scary stuff im a plumber and have first experince with the stuff one little leak and game over LOL for the car that is lol but any fuel can be deadly
so i hope ive shed a little light but please if you dont have the complete facts dont try and start arguing plus im not arguing i rather have a insightful conversation with people
i bow to all the cb7 gods WHICH AGAIN I AM NOT I REPEAT I AM NOT A CB7 GOD i thank you all for your countless knowledge and help and the infinite mercy with my stupidness that some have shown
