Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    acceleration stutter/hesistation

    ive been having this problem for a while maybe someone can help me out.
    when i drive the car it idles low but thats not the problem, when i step on the gas or take off in first it starts to sputter or like bog out on me and then i step on it and it doesnt go no where u can here my muffler like back firing when im going fast. any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Sounds like a missfire. Is it a stock setup? no turbo or anything like that?

    Check your spark plugs for excess fuel. You might be getting too much fuel. Which in turn would make me take the injectors out off the engine and soak them in some fuel injector cleaner...not the STP stuff...it comes in a spray can (can't think of the name)

    If it isnt that, I would change the fuel filter.

    If you are running turbo, you might have the problem of "blowing" the spark out. I know it sounds stupid, but I have seen it on a CRX with a B18 t3/4 turbo setup.

    Check out ESP engine mount kits for your CB7!!!

      First, we need details about your car. We can't take shots in the dark hoping to guess what you have done to it. Tell us about any modifications, changes, and repairs that you've recently done.

      The idle is low... Is it smooth?

      Check ignition timing, all ignition components (cap, rotor, wires, plugs, etc...), engine compression on all 4 cylinders, injector operation, transmission condition, oil condition... the list could go on forever. There are so many factors that could be causing this that we can't possibly help without more information.

        Inappropriate title, not subject relevant. Do not do this again, when people search appropriate titles for content will THEN make sense, correct?

          could be something simple like cap and rotor my car has exact problem. well had....i took my distributor off and sure enough it was down right horrible causing misfire so i fixed that and its running great
