ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

QUESTION: f22a1 91 lx cb7 auto tranny problem

Hello, i have a 91 lx coupe cb7 w/an the stock automatic transmision. Every once in a while when i stop at say a stoplight. When it turns green, i press on the accelerator, the engine revs like the cars in neutral, then a second later, it drops into gear sharply causing the car to jerk forward and chirp the tires. Reminds me of a neutral drop. When i got the car, i changed the tranny fluid out to dextron III auto tranny fluid. Yet the problem remains. What do you think the cause of this is, and what is the fix?

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

now you should have drained it and refilled with genuine Honda ATF.

that could be one of your problems is it's the wrong fluid.

Well the owner manual said to use Dextron II ATF, and Dextron III is an upgrade from Dextron II, so isn't the honda ATF brand Dextron II? What is your opinion on Royal Purple ATF?

I was only told that you MUST USE HONDA POWER STEERING FLUID, for your power steering and thats it.

Honda and Dexron are not the same. Honda has some sort of formula in the ATF as I recall.

i dont know but isound like maybe one of the A B seloniod valves and the tranny may have a little metal trapped in them and do not allow them to open or shut fully. try lucas stabilexer. I pitty the foo that thinks ATF isnt ATF. I put home brand in my car and I have no problems. When i did the fluid change it looked like metal and orange juice came out the tranny. oh well in went the new fresh fluid.
