ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

No need to go so thick. In fact, that can ruin an engine giving off so much spark with no aftermarket and pushing higher HP. I simply have a nie .5 upgrade of bosch racing spark plug wires at 7.5. They have lasted forever and seem to be doing pretty well and only one doesn't fit right, which in that case most likely, my fault.
    No longer have a cb7.

    V6 POOOWAAAA

    lol, a buick.

How do spark plug wires increase power. They dont.
Only if the whole ignition setup is upgraded. even if it was upgraded OEM wires will work just as well as aftermarket. If anyone has any dyno proof before and after of installing thicker wires please let me know.

If you want looks then any generic type will work for what you need it to do *BLING*

But if you want it to Bling BLOAw get the NGK's They are blue. MSD are Black and RED. OEM is probably the cream but its not BLING just BLOAw... BTW the only wires proven on the dyno and published in a book able to surpass the OE is the NGK's. L8s

Ignition gives no power. A properly functioning ignition system with a relatively stock car will work regardless of brand. The quality of materials will only ensure that you don't LOSE power by having a weak spark (and therefore an incomplete burn).

Anyone who understands how an engine works can understand that you simply cannot MAKE power with ignition.

NGK or OEM are best, as said. MSD is good. Nology is overpriced. Any company that advertises horsepower gains should be avoided (*cough* Nology).

Honestly, the power goes from the distributor, through the wires, to the sparkplugs. The sparkplugs then send a spark into the ignition chamber, where a compressed mixture of fuel and air is waiting to burn. Why would the wires make that spark any larger or hotter? If it IS larger and hotter, is it necessary to ignite that mixture? If the normal spark is enough to ignite that mixture, what gains can be had from a larger one? The spark is simply a catalyst. Power is relative to airflow and the combustion event. The spark is quite unrelated to power production. The ONLY way the spark can affect power production is if it is too weak to produce a full and even burn, or if it comes at the wrong time.
