ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Throttle sticking?

I'm trying to trouble shoot some issues with my Accord and this one is eating at me more then any other. When I step on the gas and then let if off my rpms continue to rise for a sec before backing off. I don't know what could be the cause of this, but I'm taking a stab in the dark thinking it's a vaccum leak of some sort. I've have had this problem since I replaced the intake manifold and I didn't replace the gasket, which I probably should have. You guys have any ideas that might help me figure this out. Thanks

    1. Check for leaks as you mentioned.
    2. Check throttle cable adjustment.

When you let off the pedal does the pedal come back up with you or does it stay down for a second. If it stays down for a second check the whole length of the cable, the TB, and around the pedal on the inside to see if it's catching on something.

You can adjust the throttle rotor, and if its sticking, you can loosen the nut holding it down. I had to do this when I was installing an h23 TB, it took several adjustments before I got it right.

Try lubing the rotor, too. When I cleaned out my TB, I didn't lube the rotor when I was done, and it was sticking. I couple shots of lube on the throttle shaft was all it needed.

I had alradey lubed the rotor on the TB and adjusted the throttle cable as well, so I'm assuming that all that's left is a vaccum leak? Unless there is something else I'm not thinking of. I guess I'll have to give it a once over to find out where I may have a leak.
