ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

rear pads I put on are EL CHEAP-o. cuz I'm waiting for a set of Hawk pads to come in and I'll have Hawk's at all four corners.

I been thinking about a nice set of wheels now that I have better brakes.

I talked to the guys at the U Pull It near me... they said $25 a side! I just need the time to get them! Did you use a 40/40 prop valve as well? And how come you didn't snag the EX sway bar too?

dude, take a look again, it's black and it's in this photo.

                here's another view

My Canadian EX didn't have a swaybar...,maybe the american ones do. I got this setup off of a 91 EX-R.

As for the prop. valve, I haven't changed it --YET. Gimme some time to put some miles on and see how it performs. If need be, then I'll swap it.

Next repair is the upper control arms/ball joints.

At 430,000 km, things are starting to go.

Oh yeah, I didn't see it! Cool... I was gonna say... you don't get the whole rear assembly and not get the swaybar!

The Canadian EX-R is the US EX... I usually try to say EX-R when I'm talking to a Canadian about the usual "EX" parts, but I slip sometimes

Anytime an American says EX, they mean your EX-R.

just can't believe you didnt see it man

I was sure that someone was gonna trip out about my jackstands which are also visible in the pic(s)....

There is a large sweeping onramp on the way to the city, anyway, I'm looking forward to zipping around it at 130 kph to see if I can feel any improvement with that swaybar

from some of the other threads about rear sway bars, not having one and using the EX theres a drastic difference. I rear another thread where someone used a Vigor sway bar instead there was some difference in handling since the Vigor is slightly thicker than the EX.

The stock rear sway bars are not performance by any means, you'll be disappointed. Get a Progress or Suspension Techniques rear sway bar. I know this from experience on both ends, we have 6 cb7s, I've done it a few times and compared many.

^^ a proportioning valve gives more pressure to the back brakes. Rear discs need more fluid pressure than drums so in order to have better braking in the back you need to also switch your prop valve to one that's 40/40 from a car that came equipped with rear discs and no abs. Search and you'll see.

                              ...adjust accordingly
