Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    at the end of the straights i'm bouncing off the limiter at about 6100. In the curves i'm high 5's dropping till i get out maybe mid 5's on the way out of the turns by time i get to the next straight i'm bouncing off the limiter again rinse repeat 20 laps.

      If the motor pulls to 6800 i'm still not able to get over the 6100 rpm limit correct unless i get a ecu that has a higher cap?

        Correct.

        My 1990 EX ECU had no rev limit, at least not below 7,000.

        The PT6 (F22A6 ECU) originally had the rev limit at 6500. When I swapped the plenum, it went up to about 6800.

        So I don't know if they programmed it to work based off of MAP, or if it was a hard limit.

        It really surprised me that it moved though, and it stayed at the higher RPM, even in higher gears.

        If you are bouncing of 6100, then I would just stick with the Accord tranny.

        I am not sure how much more the H23 will raise your revs, and I don't know if your limit will move up like mine did. Maybe it was fluke or something.

        Besides, you might get to redline at that point, and be fine, because it won't pull too much passed that anyway.

        But yes, I would get the PT6, or a programable and tunable ECU because they have the best fueling for your setup. The PT6 will probably be fine.

          looking good!!! but if your going to rebuild i'd up the CR and put cams and vary mild port work

            Looks very nice and, umm, dirty . How did you manage to break the Honda emblem on the steering wheel in the third to last picture? You must run that car pretty hard! I'd like to give you some advice to help you beat those v-dubs, but I'm still trying to figure out how to work my car!

                you would be suprised how much that happens when theres big money involed... i got 3 dirttrack around me... guy i use to work for runs 3 classes late model superlate model and 4 banger. and he has had to break down his motor and prove what was in it before he got the win......
