ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    OEM or NAPA?

i gotta go to Honda again tomorrow to get 7 more quarts of tranny fluid to do a flush, that's going to be like ...40+ bucks right there,

should i just go ahead and get a Honda Tstat while i'm there even though they are 16 bucks or should i try to get one at NAPA auto parts because theres a 25% off sale tomorrow for anything that you can squeeze into their brown bag promotion?

ILL DUMP AS MANY AS I CAN in that brown bag.

I used 10wsomething motor oil in my tranny, but u can do that if its a 5speed.

How much did you really save if you have to change it again?

hmm i really don't know if it has ever been changed. the car has been parked ever since i bought it back in november. i've been slowly working on it and then when something gets above my head i have my older brother's shop/dealership work on it for me.

Napa is charging like 14 bucks for OEM specs on their tstat, but theres 25% off Friday and Saturday.

Honda is going to be about 16 bucks give or take.

ok i was right, it was only 16 bucks and some change. included the gasket.

it was probably 40 for that other guy because he had it installed too.

OEM is ALWAYS best... but at least NAPA stuff isn't terrible. I'd take NAPA over any other autoparts store brand. It's a shame Autozone is just so customer friendly!

no it was 45$ after tax and I installed it myself , yeah rock auto shows 19$ american plus shipping for a honda one, which makes 39$ cdn plus tax at the dealer right. how the hell did you get it so cheap?

idk, some dealers like to jack up the price, this one doesn't i guess.
but i buy all of my factory parts from them. i got my reciept right here if you don't believe me.

This is true. If you call around, you'll notice dealers add their own price upgrades to their items.

                              ...adjust accordingly
