I usually avoid working on motor internals like the plague, but since the bottom end of my F22 is in excellent shape, but the head is slightly cracked I'm thinking of just getting a rebuilt head, changing it out, and calling it a day.
How difficult, with only standard hand tools and an uncovered gravel driveway would it be for me to remove the head, change the front main seal, do the timing & install a new head? Is doing the timing belt even practical with the motor in place? I just REALLY don't want to get involved in a project that I can't finish. I know I can swap motors easily, but actually working on the guts of a motor scares the bejesus out of me.
