ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    HELP:Can a F22b2 engine go into my 93 Accord F22a?

Hello, I bought a f22b2 4cl engine(guy said it was a 97 but not sure), will it fit into my 93 accord F22a, the guy who sold it to me said it would, but want to be 100% sure. I wanna to kno if i can swap the F22a parts/Sensors/tranny/Intake manifold/ETC. right into the F22b2 So if you can help me out that would be great.

Yea might have to trim down the driver side mount to make it fit. Also its an obd2 motor so an obd2-1 conversion is in order. Your better off buying an f22a.

You can't post, but you can read everything...

Still, how come you bought this motor? It only has 5 more horsepower, and IMO is still an inferior engine. I'm not a fan of any of the SOHC F22B motors.

OBD-2 is going to be a hurdle. Nothing major, but it's going to require some additional work. It's not a total drop-it-in-and-go deal... close, but not completely.

I bought the engine because my F22a is going bad.....Too many problems with it so i bought the f22b2 cuz its Extremely Clean 67k miles and just want my engine running good with no problems.

Ok, if you needed a replacement, that's understandable. It bugs me when people get the SOHC F22B motors and think they're getting some sort of crazy upgrade!

                  well Ive searched.

not to thread jack, but Ive posted stuff about this swap. But whats required. I got the motor for free and my f22a4 has bent valves. If someone know everything thats must be changed to make the swap work please post. Like Ive said before, Im not looking for performance just want my accord to run with no check engine light.

Your are going to need an ecu, motor, and redo some wiring, I know someone recently did this swap and said it was a lot of trouble. If I were you I would contact blackcb7 and see what else he would say.
