ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rotors are technically not pressed on, the are bolted to the hub. The hub itself has a wheel bearing pressed onto it, then the wheel bearing/hub assembly also press fits into the knuckle bore to complete this entire assembly. These two press fit circumstances are what makes the changing of rotors on this setup a pain in the butt. If you have access or the right tools, it makes it easy, but still somewhat time consuming, more than a rotor-over-hub design.

i changed my wheel bearings and replaced my rotors with powerslots and thermoquite pads... took me alllllll day with about a 4 hour trip to my friends machine shop to cut the old wheel bearings off the fucking hubs... the rotors are easy to change... wheel bearings are a nightmare... I HATED IT
I need NOS... give me one of these... make it 2... oh and hairy... i need it by tonight!

thank god someone chimed in who knew what they were talking about.

the rotors are not pressed on. The bearing is pressed into the hub. Rotors can be changed without damaging the wheel bearing. a simple search of the DIY section reveals this:

replacing the rear bolts with longer ones and using an air chisel with a blunt tip to walk the rotor out :
                  http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthre...ighlight=rotor

using a slide hammer *note* if using this method remove the 4 bolts behind the hub holding the rotor prior to using the slide hammer so the bearing comes out with the hub, avoiding wheel bearing seperation

                  same thing:

same as first pretty much, except instead of an air chisel you hammer it out. VIDEO INCLUDED!!

if u plan on keeping the car for a while. i highly recommend doing the rotor over hub conversion. according to my daily driving i used to do a brake job every 6 months. (60-70k)

i invested a bit in the upgrade & so my labour for brakes came out to $100/4 corners as to $220. some guys have done the prelude srv knuckle conversion with comes rotor over hub & bigger rotor surface.
