ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Yes you are actually correct in that it is a very mild form of vtec. Basically, it's 2 sets of passageways in you lower runners(bottom half of manifold) that allows more air to flow in at a higher rpm. Theres 3 parts to a manifold. THe lower runners, the iab plate, and the upper plenum. The upper plenum is what you see when you look at your motor from the top. The IAB plates are what actually have the butterflies that activate the second set of "holes" and the lower runners feed all of that air into your engine. Theres plenty more info on this and TWO DIYS so if you want pics and such you'd be able to find it.

            ...adjust accordingly

Also on a side note, the h23 intake manifold bolts right up to our cars as well and actually has a bigger plenum than the f22a6. I'd tell you to search for it but you already know about that

                      how do you tell

how do you tell if you have an h23 mani or f22a6?
is it really better for turbo to take out the runners?
In that case if turbo would there be a difference still if you were to use to f22a4,1 mani?
I mean why buy the f22a6 or h23 mani if it's the same as f22a4,1 when taking out the runners
however the mani I have does seem to have alot larger head before the runners that lead up to the head

also, i wire tired the dam flip lever open so that the butterflies of the secondary runner will stay open...just to see what happens...so i did a quick run and there is a difference...my car was a whole lot quicker...imma have to fix this problem of them not opening cuz i would love to feel that kick at high rpm's...
