Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Problem

    heres the situation i was driving to work and when i hit da gas to accelerate from behind a slow moving car, the car accelerated for a few feet then accleration stoped but it rev'ed like it was in neutral. i pulled over and the belt was half off so i put it on and re-tightend it. when i went to go start the car it wont turn over. but i can hear the starter but nothing is turning........
    i think it might be da starter but im not sure......
    any sugestions??????

      snapped timing belt?

      clutch gone out on you?

        when the car accelerated it felt like somthing let go and the engine rev'd like it was in neutural.......
        so when i tried to restart the ,car after puting the belt back on, the starter sounds like its turning but thats all that happens... nothing else turns.........
        it has gas,power,all fuses are fine,belts are ok,......

          which belt fell off?

          have u taken off ur valve cover and looked at ur timing belt? see some of the above suggested problems.

              That belt has nothing to do with acceleration. I cut my belt off

              If you have a manual transmission, it sounds like your clutch is shot. Automatic... I dunno... something is shot

                if you cant start it then its not the trans. My auto went out and was slipping like crazy and i could still start it fine. check your main relay, ignitor, distributor, cap rotor, basically look over the ignition system. mine went out in november and the starter was turning over but it wouldn't create spark. its likely this

                  If it won't start, check the battery, igniter, coil, and main relay. If it just whirs, the starter is done.

                    i got it fixed...the problem was the timing belt broke and the fly wheel was gone...
