Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    automatic trans sticking

    i toke my car out today to see if the white smoke that was coming from it stop and yes it did but when i went to park the shifter got stocked between park neutral or what ever below it i had to rock it back and forth to get it to unstuck and back in to drive what can be the problem i been fixing this car for a while i know it need brakes there shot but why is the Tran getting stock

    My guess would be brake sensor. let the brake out all the way and push it down all the way several times and see if that will free up the transmission. You can always use your key in the transmission lock on the shifter console. The few times ive seen a cb7 tranny get stuck it was realy cold and the (relay i guess) was froze or too cold to enguage.

    If its mechanicaly stuck you could be much worst off. Somone else on here that knows the interal mechanics of the auto trans could help you better.
    I cant Slam further. The ground refuses to get any lower.

      If it's the actual shifter that's stuck, it could just be the shifter cable. I know my shifter cable got jammed or something (don't know the exact details) and my shifter would only move a bit, between N and D4, so my tranny was always in drive. Had to push the car out, start it in N, and then go to D4 and drive. Hope that helps. GL.
