Im looking at buying a pair of KYB GR-2 Shocks and a set of Vogtland Lowering springs. Together they lower the car a total 1.8 inch's. I want to know what some of your opinions are. Thanks for any advice.

ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Everyone has their opinion on what the "best" strut/spring combonation is but it's really a matter of personal opinion. If you want better handling and a nice stiff suspension and you aren't worried about driving on conjuction highways and your ride being rough as hell you would get stiffer ones and some people, like me, have to drive a lot and often times long distances and a lot of times on very rough roads. I found something that was somewhere in the middle and is also somewhat adjustable. I have KYB AGXs (which you can easily adjust the dampening rate on) paired with Tien S Techs, which are fairly stiff but give a smoother ride than the H Techs. I personally like this setup a lot and it lowers the car about the same as the setup you mentioned.
Just do some research before you make a decision and search on this site too, I know for a fact there's a ton of info on CB7tuner to help you.
Good luckR.I.P. CB7; hello spec-v!

I suggest the cup kit, I had the same dilemma but after researching, and talkin to the guys here the SuperCup kit is the best bang for the buck, it knocks off 150-200 if you were to buy this setup separately, Gives you ride height adjustability, as well as dampening adjustment, so you car can go from commuter to weekend AutoX'er...trust me you spending the money, save up for a few more weeks, and get the cup kit. I found it online for $555 for koni SP3 yellows and your choice of neuspeed sport or race springs
