ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Running Hot

I replaced my thermostat and flushed my radiator, put all new coolant in it, and my car still runs hot every now and then, does anybody know what else could be the reason its heating up? it only does it when im sitting still.

does it run all the way to HOT. Pull over and then turn the car off, check if you see the coolant running under the car.

like ill be driving and itll be fine but if im going slow or im sitting still it slowly starts to climb up to hot...but once im driving again it will drop back down to normal temp. Ive looked under the car, and no coolant or anything.

Sounds like your cooling fan(s) isn't running.

on the stairs, she grabs my arm, says whats up,
where you been, is something wrong?
i try to just smile, and say everything’s fine.

i agree. replace the thermo switch and if you still got a overheating issue, then it may be your head gasket or a warped head. whatever it is, good luck.

If you bled the system properly then it's probably the switch as stated before. Check to see if your fans work by turning on your AC, the fans should go on if not then they're not operating properly. Also, check the radiator fan fuse under the hood. The relay may also be bad but I'd check the rest before replacing it.

                  ...adjust accordingly

i got the same problem. but one of my fams arent working so that may be the problem. but then again i smell coolant after i have the heater on for like 30min or so.

i have to put coolant in it every couple of weeks. i looked in the haynes manual and it said it might be boiling away b/c of over heating. i hope thats it.

You might have coolant system leak.
