ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    no and no

you will notice absolutely no difference in your cb7 besides the judgemental stares passed down to you and the inevitable association with all things deemed rice by the almighty JDM enthusiast community who can do no wrong.

Canards will do nothing for you.

You don't go fast enough to really create downforce with them, and unless you set it up in a wind tunnel, you have absolutely no way of knowing how they are effective airflow around your car.

They can do more harm than good.

As everyone covered its only useful for tons of track driving. Street driving does jack shit. I think oneoffaccord has a set on his car dunno if they are still on there.

Actually, depending on how they are setup, they reduce or "spoil" the amount of lift generated as air flows over the top of the car.

But you are right. Many spoilers don't do much other than add looks.

                Lips can do good things.

They cut the amount of undercar flow which has some help on stability, and drag, but it isn't going to be a huge difference.

Yep this man is right. I love seeing in some SCCA races with rexs and such they just go to home depot and buy that plastic stuff you use in the garden and just bolt that up for a front lip. It works too lol. MIght look ugly as hell but who cares lol at least its more durable lol.

For our cars, lips and sideskirts are the most useful aerodynamic add-ons. A good spoiler is next, followed by a rear diffuser, and canards would be a distant last. Yes, they do work, but as owequitit mentioned, they won't do much until they are adjusted with either a wind tunnel or (my addition) a knowledgable driver on a racetrack. A good driver can tell what they do, what they should do, and what needs to be adjusted so they do it better. I read a magazine article where Tarzan Yamada drove a car on a track and asked the designers to adjust the canards.
