ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    She is doing it again!!!!!!

I'm having the same problem once again.

I posted a thread on my CB loosing power, and everyone helped out.

    She is doing it again.

    - After highway driving, the car will loose power between 1500-3000.
    - After warming up, the same thing. It will backfire even at times.
    - If I let off the gas, and press the gas again, it sometimes clears up; sometimes I have to pump the gas pedal to get it to operate normal again.
    - As soon as it reaches 3000, it feels like a booster kicks in and away she goes.
    - I even unpluged the EGR, thinking it may be clogged and that didn't cure it.

Before you start calling things out here is what I have done:

    - New spark plugs and wires-
    - New rotor and cap
    - New fuel filter
    - Fuel injectors replaced
    - EGR replaced
    - EGR ports cleaned
    - Switched fuel brands.

Alright. Now move on to your vacuum lines, your intake manifold gasket,
With the engine running get some carb cleaner and spray a mist around the vacuum lines, intake gasket and throttle body gasket. If the engine surges, then you have found the problem . if not

Check your fuel pressure with a fuel gauge between the regulator and filter, then check your regulator itself and pump. Everything checks out there, ignition timing. no check engine light I take it?

No check engine light. I also replaced the O2 sensor, Fuel pressure regulator.

Be back in a sec; going to do the above test.

ok.....Is it running rich at all?

Sounds like its getting too much fuel.

              Check ignition timing

              check your throttle cable also.

The resistance on your ignition coil

Can you smell rotten eggs when your windows are rolled down? After you've driven your car for a while, get under and look at the cat with the car running. If its smoking or cherry red that right there is the culprit.

Tranny is holding and it does it in all gears.

I'll replace the igniter and check the resistance on the coil in the morning.

                  Thanks everyone.
