Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Door ajar lights

    Door ajar lights

    When I drive my car every minute or so the door ajar light comes on. It shows all 4 doors and the trunk being open as well as the brake light. All of those lights will come on for 3 or 4 seconds then go off. It's not a big deal but it just bothers me. Anyone have any ideas?

    Have you ever taken out you gauge cluster? It sound like there is a bad connection in it. Check that for any beaks or cuts.

      Yes sir. I'm betting a bad connection or short can be found somewhere in your car.

        I was kind of hoping I didn't have to take it out. Oh well, not too bad. I guess come monday this car gets alot of work done to it.

            When i was putting in my remote starter and alarm on both doors and the trunk, i accidentally closed the door on the door ajar sensor switch, and it got crushed.. My guage cluster said both doors and the trunk were open till i went and got one from a scrapyard. Just sayin' it might be just a switch, wich takes 5 min. to replace.

              bad cluster

              i have the same exact problem

              i just put a card or something dark to cover the door indicators.

              at first i thought it was my rear bulb sensor thingy. replaced.

              it still lights up at the cluster

              pffft.

                That make sense if they stay on. But alot of people are experiencing the lights coming on for 2-3 seconds, and then going off. Probably just what happens with a 15-17 year old car.
