ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    Projection headlight install

I recently purchased eagle eyes single piece black housing headlamps. I am having a difficult time installing them and would greatly appreciate any tips. I know the bumper cover has to come off but even though they were made for the 1990-1993 accord (mine is a 1992), they don't appear to fit. I'm thinking that I might have to remove the existing headlight bracket for the old ones in order to install the new ones. HELP PLEASE

How much did you get them for ?

the lights were made for 90-93? wtf did you get the from egay? they changed the lights in 92 so i dont see how it can fit all years w/o changing the grill. the case may be that you got them for a 90-91, i think they would still bolt in just not fit with the grill.

you got the bumper off right? (the 4 bolts behind the bumper lights and the 2 nuts in the engine bay) as well as the grill (4 or 5 screws and the 2 tabs on either side that you pop out with a flathead) undo the bolts and the plugs and they should slide right out.

last thought: did you pull the bezel out of the mounting bracket? if you did that your going to want to pull out the mounting bracket. you wont be able to use the stock bracket since it has two seperate lights. i hope you already knew this.

        thanks

Hey, thanks a lot for the tips. I figured I had to take out that bracket. I was just concerned because the original appears to have some sort of spacer. With that bracket out of the way, I should be able to do it. Thank-you for your time! (and yes, they were an ebay item... got em for only about 150 and they look amazing).

          Wow, very involved install...

I completed all of my exterior lighting installs today. Just wanna give people the heads up on these eagle eyes projector head lights... you have to take the bumper off to install them, not just the cover - the actual metal bumper. Theres four bolts on the front and two nuts on the back. But it was definitely worth it!

ya they're true jdm headlights but are approved for use in canada (the ones i'v got). They look great and are insanely bright! I'll try and post a picture soon.
