So i have the blaster ss coil no box just coil, with the ballast resistor hooked up. Has worked fine for the last couple months 
, but yesterday i started my car, it ran for like 45 seconds and died, threw code 15 (ignition output) reset the ecu no code, but now wont start... 
I think the ballast resistor went bad, cuz when i pop the hood (ignition still on) i could hear it poping and crackling and it was so hot that i couldn't touch it for more then like 30 seconds!!!!!
Any 1 elseevery heard of this or had it happen????????
If so, what might have caused it to malfunction??????
