ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Transmission or Fuel Injector?

Hey guys. I just got my 92 Accord LX Auto. I have a question about my tranny because I think its a problem but I'm not sure. Everytime I drive and the car shifts from 1st to 2nd, I feel like the engine pulls especially at lower speeds. I'm not sure what that could be? Im don't think its normal. Any advice?

like when it reaches about 3500rpm to switch gears from 1st to 2nd, it pulls me back. Think about it in the sense of flooring the car from idle. If you go from nothing to the car being floored, you're body is being pulled back. Thats what happens to me when the car switches gears.

simplier way to do , forget what I said above..

when u shift from park to other gears does it move alot? like somthing bumped u from behind? i think its your motor mounts if thats it. check them. if not mounts something from your tranny is bad.

I think there's some slight motion if i rapidly change from D to R... but i'll have to get back on you about that one. I don't get out of work til 8 so i'll find out by then.

Sounds like mounts to me. When the mounts go bad (and with these cars being so old now, they often do) the rubber no longer prevents the motor from moving. It has a good inch to rock back and forth when the mounts are failing. It would definitely cause a jerk. If the transmission shifts solidly, it should be fine. CB7 automatics have a bit of a harsh shift anyway. If it's harsh, that should be a sign that it's healthy. Transmission problems would probably manifest moreso as slippage... either a delay going into gear, or an unwanted down/up shift at odd times.
