Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

Cluster acting up....

    Cluster acting up....

    Well after my motor swap, I got the maintenance lite on , not the check engine. Also um my cluster is making a tick tick tick sound, like if i was using my turn signal. but stops when I use my turn signal but when it goes back to neutral position. It starts to tick tick tick. Randomly my speedometer will act up and my RPM meter will act up.

    Any way to fix it? and my whole dash lights not working. But when u press the buttons they light up, but not the dash panels.

    Final question Anyway to tweak my intake manifold without buying a new one. So it can stop idling. motor was OBD2 converted to OBD1. F20B SOHC VTec uses 3 sensor rather than two for OBD1. So my map sensor is not connected and stuff.

    did you change cluster or anything like that cuz if u put a cluster 90-91 to a 92-93 or viseversa it acts funny can even blow ur fuses u might wana check that to did u try reseting the maintenace lite all u have to do is put ur key in it if its a 92-93 but if its a 90-91 i think the only posible way to do it is to take ur whole cluster apart to reset it....

      Make sure the harnesses are plugged in all the way. . . also if you did swap out clusters there are 2 different "brands" NR and NS; make sure you have the right one- its labeled at the bottom of the speedo.

        wrong. 90-91 is the same way. no disassembly required.

          the speedo and rpm flucktuating usualy is a sign of voltage drops, like stated befor check to make sure their pluged in completly ...

          In Need of an engine, just a basic f22a...pm me if you have one willing to part with.

            CLuster never was changed. Another question anyway to make those lites around the dash turn back on?

                    Lol I just noticed this, All those issues are fixed. :-) F20b SOHC VTEC is properly tuned and fixed all those little gremlins.
